We’re looking for an NYC-based Junior Designer. Is that you?

Junior Designer will be local to New York City and will report to Principal. Must be fluent
in CAD and be able to complete space plans, electrical plans, and interior finish details.
Will interface with clients and vendors as needed to complete renovation and new build
projects. This candidate will work closely with Principal and Project Manager to complete
multiple projects at a time and must be able to multi-task and work in a fast- paced
environment. Highly detailed, organizational skills are a must.

Job Requirements

  • Local to New York, NY
  • Minimum of 5-years interior design experience at an Interior Design firm
  • Highly proficient in AutoCad, InDesign, and Studio Designer
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization and time management
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally for installations

Regular Duties

  • Support the Principal with design concepting, and create adjunct design options
  • Assist in selecting and sourcing materials, finishes, furniture and accessories that align with the design vision
  • Collaborate seamlessly with clients, designers, architects, contractors, vendors, fabricators, artisans, and developers on multiple projects
  • Create project documentation including full drawing set (elevations, construction details, millwork, lighting, etc.) schedules, specifications, and renderings
  • Partner with Project Manager to conduct on-site visits to assess project progress, take measurements, and clearly communicate design intent to trades
  • Manage project timeline and maintain organization of all project-related documents

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the design team
  • Experience working with high-profile clientele
